We are writing to request your organization's consideration of a sponsorship partnership with Gals on the Gunnel, an all-female dragon boat team based in Vancouver, BC. Our team represents strength, community, and the power of women supporting women in sport.
About Our Team
Gals on the Gunnel is composed of remarkable women aged 32 to 75 from diverse backgrounds, united by friendship, teamwork, fitness, and a shared passion for dragon boating. Based at Southeast False Creek (Olympic Village) in Vancouver, our team practices regularly and competes in local and regional races. Through dragon boating, we have built confidence, improved our health, and created lasting friendships while supporting one another both on and off the water.
An Exciting Opportunity
In April 2027, we will represent our community at our first international dragon boat festival in Boracay, Philippines. This is a significant honor and, for many of our members, the experience of a lifetime. However, to make this dream possible, we need financial support to cover travel, accommodation, and participation fees.
Sponsorship Request
We are kindly requesting that your organization consider becoming a financial sponsor for our team. Your support will make a meaningful difference in helping us achieve this goal while reinforcing the importance of women supporting women in sport. As women in sport, we deeply admire organizations that inspire and empower girls and women to participate, compete, and lead.
